Social Media App Permissions & Data Use
Good Online Commerce Ltd (referred to as “we”, “us”, or “the Company”) operates a family of e-commerce and retail brands, including For Baby Boss. This page is our privacy policy for the third-party social media apps we operate, describing what data we collect through them, why, how we handle it, and your rights over it.
What we use
We use Mixpost, a self-hosted social media management application that we host and control entirely on our own server. It is not a third-party SaaS product — no account data passes through any vendor other than Good Online Commerce Ltd and the social media platform itself. Mixpost is used only by authorised Good Online Commerce Ltd staff to schedule and publish content to our brands’ official social media accounts.
What data we collect, and why
Through our connected social media apps, we collect and process the following categories of data, solely from our own connected accounts:
- Account information — profile name, profile picture, and follower/audience counts for our own connected Pages, profiles, and channels.
- Content performance data — post, video, and Pin analytics (views, likes, comments, shares) for content we publish.
- Content we publish — the posts, images, and videos we schedule and publish through the app.
- Access tokens — the authorisation credentials each platform issues so the app can act on our connected account’s behalf.
We collect this data to operate our own social media presence: scheduling and publishing content, and understanding how it performs. We do not use this access to collect, read, or process personal data belonging to our customers, or to any member of the public who is not an administrator of our own connected accounts.
Facebook & Instagram (Meta)
Our Meta app connects to our own Facebook Pages and linked Instagram Business accounts to publish and schedule posts, and to read basic account information and post-performance analytics.
Our Pinterest app connects to our own Pinterest business account(s) to read and write boards and Pins, allowing us to schedule and publish Pins and view basic account and Pin analytics.
TikTok
Our TikTok app connects to our own TikTok account(s) to read basic profile information, list our own past videos, and upload video content for publishing.
Google (YouTube)
Our Google app requests the youtube and youtube.upload scopes to connect to our own YouTube channel(s) and upload and manage video content on our behalf. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements: we do not use this data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not allow humans to read it except where necessary for security, to comply with the law, or with your explicit consent.
Data retention
We retain connected-account access tokens and associated data for as long as the account remains connected to our app. If we disconnect an account, or you revoke our app’s access from the platform’s own settings, we delete the associated access token and stop processing further data for that account. Published content and its analytics remain in our own records for our own business purposes, in line with standard business record-keeping practice.
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share this data with any third party. It is used only by authorised Good Online Commerce Ltd staff, is stored only on our own privately-hosted server, and is never transferred to any party beyond the social media platform it originated from.
Your rights
If you are an administrator of one of our connected accounts and want to know what data we hold, have it corrected, or have it deleted, contact us using the details below. You can also revoke our app’s access at any time directly from the relevant platform’s own account settings (for example, Facebook’s “Business Integrations” settings, Google’s “Third-party apps with account access” page, or the equivalent on Pinterest/TikTok) — this immediately stops us from accessing that account.
